For the first time, the Caribbean coast will be the epicenter of Colombia 4.0, the most important digital and Orange Economy meeting in the country, where attendees will be able to enjoy conferences, activities, musical shows and workshops on November 6 and 7 Practical with national and international experts who will inspire you with the best of digital creative industries.
Where the talent is
“The route of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship is reaching the regions, where the talent of our country is. We have already passed through Yopal (Casanare) and Bogotá, with a great reception of 2,500 attendees and 86,246 participants, respectively. Now we go to Barranquilla to enhance the ideas of digital entrepreneurs in the Caribbean. This event is Pure Orange Economy and we will have Oracle experts, 500 Startups, among others”, said the Minister of Information Technology and Communications (ICT), Sylvia Constaín.
The Puerta de Oro event center in Barranquilla will receive thousands of people from all over the region, to enjoy the agenda with experts in Industries 4.0, Animation, Videogames, Entrepreneurship, Media and Music.
This event is part of the alliance between the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications (MinTIC) and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, through iNNpulsa Colombia, to bring Colombia 4.0 and Heroes Fest to the regions, both meetings of the most important digital creative industries, entrepreneurship and innovation in the country.
The speakers
Colombia 4.0 Barranquilla will have the participation of speakers of the likes of Colombian Guiliana Bindi, who has worked on the animation of main and secondary characters of important projects for companies such as Disney, Nickelodeon, Universal, BBC, among others.
The agenda of the video game track will be led by Shawn Kittelsen, narrative leader and co-author of Mortal Kombat 11 and Injustice 2, two of the best combat games of all time, who currently works at Skybound Entertainment, a multiplatform content company that has in his portfolio to The Walking Dead.
The panels
In the media track there will be a panel on “Social networks and their impact on the world of sport”, in which Andrés Lacoture, SportsCenter presenter and sports analyst at ESPN; Mauricio Martínez Caballero, co-founder & CEO of Latope Sports and Entertainment, and Juan Salvador Bárcenas, director of Habla Deportes, will address the effect that networks have had on how to cover sporting events.
For entrepreneurs, Colombia 4.0 will have large firms that are supporting new entrepreneurs in their growth process, such as Oracle; 500 Startups, one of the most active accelerators in the world, and Startup Mexico, an organization that promotes innovation, entrepreneurial culture and economic development in Colombia and the world.
Likewise, Javier Chan, co-founder and CEO of Processim Labs, will be on the Industries 4.0 track to talk about educational technologies, as his company develops pedagogical simulation games specifically designed for smartphones and tablets.
