The Insurtech Hub Munich launches the fourth edition of the W1 Forward Insurtech Accelerator.
The Insurtech Hub Munich (ITHM) is currently accepting applications for the fourth edition of the W1 Forward Insurtech Accelerator. The eight-week program, which began in 2015, is aimed at international, early-stage startups who are developing digital solutions for the insurance industry – but also beyond.
Unconventional and think in big dimensions
The Accelerator offers workshops as well as personal mentoring and coaching sessions and the mediation of insurance knowledge. The startups are supported in making their ideas mature for the market and potential investors. Together with the partner companies of the ITHM, they develop pilots.
“We are looking for real disruptors who are not afraid to think unconventionally and in large dimensions”, says Manuel Holzhauer, Managing Director of the ITHM.
“The established insurance companies now recognize that competition will no longer grow solely from their own ranks, but the Tech Big 5 like Amazon, Apple or Alphabet and successful Insurtechs penetrate with force in the market”.
Insurtech Hub Munich: Door opener for the insurance industry
Holzhauer continues to list what the Insurtech Hub Startups offers: “We have a wide network of experts and coaches, investors, universities and of course our alumni. But our biggest USP is that we can open the door to startups for our 12 insurance partners – from world-leading companies to local champions – and PwC and Roche”.
As soon as startups have reached an advanced stage of growth (later-stage), the second ITHM accelerator program, Insurtech Europe powered by Plug & Play, offers further support.
