We tell you how to check if your Chrome browser is updated or if you have to do it yourself.
A security flaw in Google Chrome was under active attack last week and although the latest Google Chrome update (hopefully) automatically solved the problem in your browser, it’s important to double-check that Chrome is running the latest version ( 72.0.3626.121).
Upgrade NOW
When the leader in Chrome security and desktop engineering, suggests that you upgrade now … like “right now,” it’s a good idea to take a few seconds to verify that your Chrome browser is up to date and safe.
How to do it
To start the Chrome integrated update tool, simply open the browser and select “About Google Chrome,” which you’ll find in the Help section within its main drop-down menu. Your browser should update automatically if there is a newer version to download.
