The graduates of the UDLAP of Organizational Psychology and of Nanotechnology and Molecular Engineering, Mariana Arellano Chapa del Bosque and Thomas Antoine Espinoza, respectively, were winners of the Startup Pitch Night organized by the University of the Americas Puebla and the UDLAP Jenkins Graduate School; obtaining a place in the Global eMerge Americas event to be held next year in Miami.
An important alliance
The alliance between UDLAP, the University of Miami and eMerge Americas will give young entrepreneurs the opportunity to attend conferences with international personalities from the business world, in the event that will take place on March 30 and 31, 2020 in Florida. This is thanks to his participation in the Startup Pitch Night, event aimed at project developers held at the UDLAP Jenkins Graduate School, home of the Mexican house of studies in Mexico City, in which they competed against other innovative ideas in the country.
After presenting their companies and receiving feedback from the jury, the winners were Mariana Arellano’s Creati Lab Consultoría, whose purpose is to promote organizations towards social entrepreneurship. “The objective is to change NGOs, foundations and civil associations to a scheme that does not depend so much on donations, but is self-sustaining,” said the graduate of Organizational Psychology at UDLAP.
Nanotechnology, everyday
The other project is Carbomex of the graduate Thomas Antoine Espinoza, dedicated to bringing nanotechnology to everyday life. “We strive day by day to provide research and development and solutions to the Mexican industry by applying nanomaterials. We participate as a platform in which the development of high impact can be given to other companies, we also have research lines in wastewater treatment, green batteries without heavy materials, anti-pollution paint and others focused on circular economy, ”said the graduate in Nanotechnology and Molecular Engineering.
Excitement and happiness
Both, as the biggest prize of this event, will be presenting their ideas at the congress backed by the best institutions in the world, the Global eMerge Americas. Whose objective is to bring companies from Latin America to the United States and have access to new investors, clients and more contacts. For this they will be in a stand next to other startups showing their products and value proposals to investors, companies and sponsors that may be the missing step to emerge and reach new markets. “We are very excited to show that Mexican innovation is real, (if any) that nanotechnology can also be done in our country and above all it is something we have been waiting for for many years”, said the director of Carbomex.
