Stripe has been in the headlines of FinTech for a few years now, especially since its end-of-year fundraiser, which raised the value of the startup to more than $ 9 billion. The company is an Internet payment platform, but it also publishes a suite of applications that help manage revenue or combat fraud. Present in 120 countries, it has exceeded one million merchants on its platform, from small startups to the largest companies in the world.
Stripe also works with many partners who have developed an integration with its services: PrestaShop, Shopify, DocuSign, WooCommerce or Xero, to name a few. A real added value, according to Alexandre Eruimy, CEO of PrestaShop: “Stripe allows PrestaShop merchants to offer a very innovative payment experience, both desktop, and mobile. The plugin installs in minutes and does not require a VAD contract. It saves considerable time and money for the entire PrestaShop community, “adds Alexandre Eruimy, CEO of Prestashop.
A partner program to help users
Stripe launched its first Partner Program, in order to help its users discover reliable partners, beyond the problem of payment, but also to give the opportunity to many third-party companies to facilitate the bridges with its solution. This is a formalization of an already existing ecosystem, already using the service or its APIs, and giving access to new resources. “We have been working with thousands of innovative partners since the beginning,” said Guillaume Princen, Managing Director France and Southern Europe of Stripe. “Over the years, we have seen a growing demand for a formalized program that helps our users discover new reliable partners to work with. That’s why we have created the Partner Program – the first cloud-based partnership program and API for the payments market – with the goal of increasing the GDP of the Internet. ”
Some of the resources available to partners include:
- A Partners portal with tutorials and use cases to integrate Stripe in a secure way.
- A Stripe Verified Partner badge submitted to a verification process and a service review.
- Access to a directory of Stripe partners to enrich its own services.
- Priority support.
- Exclusive invitations to test new and future beta versions.
Registration for this program is free and concerns platforms but also extensions and plugins. This is only the first step of which is to become a strategic pillar for the company. Stripe plans to develop it in the coming years by offering more resources and products.
