Amazon will stop buying directly from thousands of suppliers, following a surprise announcement that invites them to sell on its platform directly to consumers, and also managing their own logistics.
They will have to manage their sales directly, establish retail sales systems and probably raise prices.
More than half of the products sold on Amazon in 2018 were through this direct market of third companies that sell through Amazon.
