The Fintech Revolut, founded by the investment exbanqueros of Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank Nik Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko as a digital alternative to the big banks, has reached 200,000 clients in Spain after a year and a half of operations.
Registered operations
The entity, based in London, landed in the Spanish market in October 2017 and registers about 700 new users per day. Globally, Revolut has more than four million customers.
The British fintech has highlighted in a statement that, in a short time, has managed to “scratch a market share relevant to traditional banking in Spain”.
Spain is the fifth country in Europe in volume of users of Revolut and one of the fastest growing markets, according to the entity.
Plan against the Brexit without agreement
The British fintech has also reported that it has designed a plan for a Brexit scenario without agreement with the aim of ensuring the safety of its European customers and ensuring that they can continue to use their services in the same way and without visible changes for the purposes of the user.
Revolut created last year a new European entity, Revolut Payments UAB, so that, before a non-agreed Brexit, all of its clients’ accounts based on the European Economic Area (EEA) migrate to this entity.
