Forbes has published its current list of the 50 most innovative fintech companies in 2019. The listings also include six companies from the Blockchain area. These include Axoni, Bitfury, Circle, Coinbase, Gemini and Ripple Labs. In the following, this article focuses on Ripple Labs.
Ripple enjoys the support of some of the most recognized venture capital investment companies. They include Andreessen Horowitz, CME Ventures, Google Ventures, Santander InnoVentures and SBI Group.
Forbes describes Ripple Labs as follows:
“Its global blockchain-based payment network is set to replace Swift, the interbank news platform that has been connecting nearly every bank in the world for a long time. Ripple also offers a service that allows companies to make cross-border payments in XRP. It is a cryptocurrency created by the founders, and has recently moved into second place behind Bitcoin in terms of total market capitalization. ”
Earlier Honors for Ripple
Of course, the current inclusion in the Forbes list is not the only award Ripple Labs has received over the years. For example, “MIT Technology Review” included Ripple Labs in its list of the 50 smartest companies for 2014. In February 2015, Fast Company placed fourth on its list of the world’s most innovative money-making companies in 2015 at Ripple Labs. Then, in August 2015, Ripple Labs received a “Technology Pioneer” award from the World Economic Forum. This award is given to companies that demonstrate their ability to develop breakthrough technology. At the same time, companies must demonstrate that they can create solutions that have the potential to change the future of the industry and society.
As early as December 2015, Forbes Ripple Labs was included in the “Fintech 50” list for 2015 for the first time. This was followed in June 2016, a listing in the list of “The 5 hottest companies in fintech” by Fortune.
The new inclusion in the Forbes list is justified. Ripple Labs has a very good 2018 year. The company is constantly adding new and high caliber customers. In addition, Ripple Labs has successfully launched its new payment solution xRapid. So Ripple Labs has a good starting position. It will be exciting to see how the company evolves in 2019.
