In 2019, the digital and creative industry will exchange best practices at the German House at the SXSW Conference in Texas and form a global business network. From 9 to 12 March, the focus will be on topics such as Future of Mobility, New Media and New Work. The Media Lab and MedienNetzwerk Bayern will be there with the first Media Startup Night on board in Austin.
For two hours everything revolves around media innovations and the exchange between founders, experts and innovators from the media sector. In addition to short pitches from start-ups such as Luminovo, KontextLab, Upspeak, Kerngedanke, Plantura, Varia and Holodeck VR, the participants can intensively exchange and network with drinks and snacks at the Media Startup Night.
Other program highlights include the Lufthansa FlyingLab conference and a format on the subject of platform economics curated by the ZEIT subsidiary CONVENT. This is Dorothee Bär, Federal Government Commissioner for Digitization at the Federal Chancellery.
Under the New Work focus, an AI panel will be held on March 10 with politician and State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Björn Böhning and Solomon’s Code author and Cambrian.at CEO Olof Groth. The Frankfurt Book Fair then brings the robot psychologist Martina Mara and the “The Creative Power of Machines” bestseller author Holger Volland on the ethics of technologies on the stage.
