For the first time, the Munich Start-up Center Werk1 is organizing “Startup Work” in order to facilitate recruitment for start-up companies. The job fair is explicitly aimed at startups that are growing and actively looking for employees, and of course at job seekers who want to work in a startup. The fair on March 30th is free of charge for both the start-up companies and the visitors. Startups can apply for a stand by 10th February.
Depending on the phase in which a startup is located, it is usually either looking for financing or looking for employees. In the search for financing the Munich startups help networks like Baystartup or events like the Cashwalk. But when startups have their first round of financing behind them, they need one thing above all else: talents!
Bringing together startups and talent
This problem has been recognized by the Gründerzentrum Werk1 and therefore organizes a free fair at the end of March to bring together startups and jobseekers. Tina Ruseva, Head of Startup Programs at Werk1, explains:
“We asked the founders what they needed and found problem # 1 from every startup – Recruitment. With Startup Work we want to create a platform where talents and teams find each other. We all have something of that. ”
Who should join Startup Work?
The fair is aimed specifically at startups that are growing and currently have several vacancies. In order to achieve the greatest possible diversity, start-up companies from all sectors can apply for a stand. If you do not want an exhibitor stand, you can also apply for a lecture or an interactive workshop. In addition to pitches, a panel discussion and specialist workshops, a business speed dating is also planned.
And the job seekers? Above all, they should feel like starting a job in a young company! At the fair you can get to know the startups and their founders in person. In addition, there are on-site document checks and individual coaching by startup experts.
