Finnovating, the international open innovation consultancy, has celebrated the fourth edition of the Fintech Unconference, which has brought together the 100 most innovative CEOs of the financial technology sector, which already employs 7,500 professionals. The sector shows its consolidation and maturity, growing in the last year by 50% in employees while adjusting the annual growth rate of the number of companies operating in our country from 53% to 14%.
The 345 scaleups and startups present in Spain plan to create 3,500 direct jobs in the next 12 months, according to data extracted by the FinTech Observatory of Finnovating, in direct contact with the sector. Regarding the profiles most in demand, 52% seek IT professionals, followed by 23% of business development and 12% for communication or marketing tasks.
During the meeting, structured in six multidirectional talks among the participants whose theme is chosen at the beginning of the day by themselves: Regulation, Sandbox and PSD2, Investment and Financing, Experience in attracting and customer / user loyalty, internationalization and expansion, Blockchain , IA & Big Data and, finally, Cooperation in new business models.
Rodrigo García de la Cruz, CEO of Finnovating, stressed that “the consolidation of the sector and its maturity make international expansion take special prominence, especially in Latin America, where we have already accompanied European scaleups on the occasion of the first FinTech Unconference held in Colombia, and which will continue this year Mexico, Peru and Chile. ” In addition, he assured that “the approval of the Sandbox will be able to suppose the definitive revolution if the companies bet to be”.
