This year the fintech sector brings different proposals such as conferences, networkings, trainings and virtual talks, to learn about the new global trends that will be promoted.
In Argentina there are several important events confirmed, two of them organized by the Argentina Chamber of Commerce.
The Argentina Fintech Forum will have two meetings. The first will be held on April 30 in the city of Córdoba and its objective will be to discuss the main challenges that the digital transformation is generating in our financial system. The thematic axes will be in financial inclusion; Revolution of the means of payment; The role of regulators; New financing models; Blockchain: state of the art in Argentina; Fintech panorama in Argentina. The inscriptions are already open.
The second edition will take place in Buenos Aires in November, month that coincides with the anniversary of the Chamber.
In the month of April, Launchpad Start Fintech organized by Increase, Google Developers and Area 3 will be held. This event is a tool to generate a rapid impact, thought as a 5-day hyper-acceleration training field, delivering value to the entrepreneurs and generating links between them. The program focuses on the solution of specific challenges, including product, user experience, marketing, business and growth. For a week, startups delve into aspects of their business based on pre-decided issues that are key to early stage startups.
On the other hand, the Latin American region will also have its own agenda in the sector. The II Colombia Fintech Annual Meeting will take place in April, one of the most important activities of the Fintech industry in Colombia, which has positioned itself as a space for the generation of knowledge, content and relevant information.
Also during April but in Panama, the First Meeting of the Fintech Ecosystem Network of Latin America and the Caribbean will be held, promoted by the Inter-American Development Bank. The fourth month of the year will close with the Fintech Unconference Mexico City 2019, organized by Finnovating.
In May it will be the turn of the Lima Fintech Forum, activity that will bring together the main representatives in fintech, banking, insurance, regulation, cybersecurity, digital transformation and innovation, with the aim of showing the development, progress and promoting innovation in fintech to through knowledge of more developed markets.
There is still no definite date for LaBitconf, one of the most important events in the Spanish-American ecosystem, which already has six editions.
Finally, at a global level, various events will be held, considered the most important in the world in the sector. Some of them:
Money20 / 20: designed in four conferences (March, June, October and December) in different parts of the world -Singapore, Amsterdam (Holland), Las Vegas (USA), Hangzhou (China) -, is presented as an opportunity to share new ideas and explore disruptive paths within the ecosystem of financial services.
Bank + FinTech: in April, Barcelona (Spain) will be the venue for this meeting that will take place in April and which encourages collaboration between Fintech banks and companies.
Consensus: the blockchain summit will take place in May in New York (USA). A moment in which the most important startups in the sector, financial giants, academic institutions and investment funds meet to discuss the uses that can be made with this technology in the very near future.
London Tech Week: the European capital of technological innovation presents this event – whose 2019 edition will take place in June – with the aim of connecting large companies, startups and creative minds from around the world with more than 250 events spread throughout the city.
Future of Insurance: insurers, reinsurers, investors and startups will meet in New York during June to delve into current and future trends and technologies that are revolutionizing the insurance industry.
AI in Finance Summit: also in New York but in the month of September, this summit will be held that invites you to discover the new advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques applied to the world of finance.
South Summit: in October, Madrid (Spain) will host the main meeting point between startups and investors from southern Europe and Latin America, in which a hundred projects are presented to potential investors.
Singapore Fintech Festival: November will be the turn of the largest global event on fintech, a platform that promotes connection, collaboration and co-creation among the Fintech community. The banking business in the digital age or the impact of artificial intelligence in the financial world will be some of the topics that will be addressed this year.
