The Alfredo Rodríguez Ballón International Airport (AQP) located in the city of Arequipa, Peru is planning to expand its passenger terminal. The project is part of the works portfolio of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC). This mediation will improve the quality and level of service offered to passengers and will make air transportation to and from the White City sustainable.
The concessionaire of the Second Set of Provincial Airports, Aeropuertos Andinos del Perú S.A., began preparing the technical file for the work on August 11 of this year. Arequipa (AQP) is the third airport with the highest passenger traffic in Peru, behind Lima and Cusco. Figures obtained by Aviacionline through CORPAC indicate that 1,990,820 passengers flew to AQP from mostly domestic and international destinations and 15,746 aircraft operations during 2019.
Tourism is one of the sectors that are most interested in investing in new technologies and digitization to innovate in digital projects. The main objective of the companies that make up the tourism sector, seeks to focus on the experiences of tourists on their travels through digital environments to know their opinions, needs, and concerns. In this sense, Artificial Intelligence plays an important role in allowing data collection and connecting servers.
Among the most used digital tools, Flight APIs are key to integrating information related to flights in any type of platform. Whether for the sale of tickets, to check seat availability, or arrival times, these tools are the ones that allow this information to be displayed in a place other than its source of origin.
Flight API: Essential For The Technological Adaptation Of Tourism
API stands for “Application Programming Interfaces”, and just as its name implies, it is an interface. Its function is to allow applications to communicate through a set of rules, a set of definitions, and protocols used to develop and integrate application software. APIs work for many microservices, their operation is very simple, a server has an API and when a client sends a request, it responds.
In the case of Flight APIs, for example, they allow access, on-demand, to data such as the code of an airplane, the schedule of a flight, or the number of available seats. Each API is unique, and therefore also has a certain amount of connections and information. If what you need is an API that guarantees you information from anywhere in the world, then FlightLabs is the right API for you.
