From a small startup to the largest credit marketplace in continental Europe, auxmoney is a true Düsseldorf success story. With 260 employees and more than 10 years of company history, fintech is already one of the big-ups. Auxmoney co-founder and Managing Director Philipp Kriependorf reveals in an interview what it still recognizes that auxmoney started as a small startup by three friends at the time and which arguments speak for the startup location Düsseldorf today.
Fintech auxmoney: Success Factor Corporate Culture
In more than eleven years of company history, the Fintech has changed a lot: The team has grown to more than 250 employees and the small attic in Hilden has given way to modern offices in Düsseldorf. In the meantime, auxmoney has paid out more than one billion euros in credit volume, leaving behind even medium sized savings banks.
But despite the rise to become the largest platform for personal loans in continental Europe, the vision of the three auxmoney founders, Raphael Johnen, Philip Kamp and Philipp Kriependorf, has remained the same. The belief that more people are getting better by using technology allow credit supply. To this day, they feel that this belief motivates the whole team to further improve the product and develop new ideas.
Düsseldorf as an attractive startup location
In 2010, auxmoney moved from Hilden to Düsseldorf. According to Kriependorf, this had pragmatic reasons. Since offices in the middle of Düsseldorf are simply better accessible. This is an important factor for employees commuting daily to Dusseldorf. The nearby international airport is also an important plus for business partners who want to visit the company. Thanks to the many universities that provide supplies of highly qualified specialists and numerous agencies that can provide creative impulses. Düsseldorf offers ideal conditions for startups and big-ups.
