A place for new startups from the fintech industry: Deutsche Börse has announced that it will bring new companies together with the TechQuartier to its fintech hub in Frankfurt’s Ostend.
According to Deutsche Börse, the focus will be on technologies for the capital market, which will shape the function of the financial markets today and in the future.
Space for networking
The first company to launch the “Transaction Factory”, a software and consulting start-up for financial service providers, banks and stock exchanges. In the coming months, further start-ups from the fintech sector will follow.
The new fintechs will benefit in several ways from the new cooperation. In addition to a lot of room for networking, the team of the Deutsche Börse Venture Network is available to the founders in the FinTech Hub for questions and specifically contacts to market experts and investors. “We bring fintech from the region specifically to national and international investors via the Deutsche Börse Venture Network and support them in their search for growth capital,” says Peter Fricke, Head of the Deutsche Börse Venture Network.
Workshops and forums
The benefits for fintechs will be complemented by workshops and scene events such as the so-called “Rooftop Talks”.
“In addition, we have expanded the German Equity Forum, which takes place annually in Frankfurt and is one of the leading European capital market conferences, into a platform for venture capital investors and founders”, explains Fricke.
With the new cooperation, the TechQuartier wants to expand its presence in Frankfurt. The goal is to arouse entrepreneurial ambitions as well as to pave the way for success for the most promising founders and most effective companies. “The in-depth collaboration with a key player in the financial industry, such as Deutsche Börse, and the involvement of its venture expertise represent a tremendous added value for our community and represent another promising step forward for our fast-growing start-up scene here in Frankfurt”, says Sebastian Schäfer, TechQuartier CEO.
The Fintech Hub has been available to startups since 2016.
