Executives from the country’s leading public-private financial institutions met at the “Fintech Talk II”, training meetings organized this year by the Dominican Association of Fintech Enterprises (AdoFinTech), the Specialized Institute of Research and Information in Legal Sciences ( OMG Institute) and the British Embassy.
In the event, Belkis Guerrero Villalona, rector of IOMG, expressed the satisfaction of continuing to strengthen the financial sector through financial technology, with the participation of national and international exhibitors.
Edwin Zácipa, Executive Director of Colombia Fintech, guest lecturer, shared his experience with the theme “Development of the Fintech Industry in Colombia and other Latin American countries: lessons for the Dominican Republic”.
Meanwhile, the country was represented by Omar Bairán, professor of the OMG Institute and vice president of the Legal Cosultancy of Banco Santa Cruz, who addressed the topic, “Consent and digital financial contracting: legal aspects and cyber risk”.
