A group of Geneva organizations have joined the Geneva Fintech Association under the patronage of the canton of Geneva.
The new association is committed to promoting the development of groundbreaking fintech technologies, especially when it comes to crowdfunding and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT).
Developing educational initiatives with tech
The aim is to develop educational initiatives around these new technologies, to connect key players from across the global fintech ecosystem and to stimulate discussion on current developments.
Founding members of the association, which was established on 4 March 2019, include the financial services provider Geneva Management Group (GMG), the digital education institute CREA, the law firm Ochsner & Associés, the blockchain solution provider We Can Group and the fundraising experts of the Swiss Crowdfunding Association ,
Professions, already on board
The networking of stakeholders from different professions, all of which are geared towards promoting the fintech industry, should lead to improved cooperation and knowledge transfer with global appeal. The bundled know-how of the participating companies will be exchanged and expanded in the future, including through regular events and conferences.
Each member of the association is an equal player, focusing on collective growth rather than individual gain. An example of this is the fact that the presidency of the association changes annually.

That’s what says Sebastien Flak of GMG, first chairman of the Geneva Fintech Association.
“In everything we do, we focus on those values to best serve the fintech community and to promote the technologies that drive them”.
The aim is to grow
The association’s further goal is to bring together the growing Geneva fintech ecosystem of individuals, associations and companies under its roof, organized in various specialized bodies such as Wealthtech, AI, etc. More information about the club can be found here: genevafin.tech
